I'm waiting for confirmation from the Academy, but that Hamilton "rule" posted on B2 only applies to the Best Documentary category.

It does not apply to any other category. It should still be eligible for Best Picture, Director, all acting awards, Cinematography and Editing at the very least.

The only feature categories it cannot be nominated for besides Documentary is Best Score and Best Song, since there was no new music created for this production.
