Wait For It might be the best song I’ve heard in a long time for its theme and delivery. It’s a perfect encapsulation of both male leads, with Burr knowing fully all their strengths and flaws...he knows he’s methodical, he knows Hamilton’s gifts and what will be his downfall...

And yet he never seems overtly jealous because he knows he can adapt some of Hamilton’s strengths and still win in the end. It’s long-ball envy ... so damn layered as a song.
