what's he going to do when the full force of the NYC political machine is going at him.

He folded to a weak mayor and lost a lot of people and votes.

Also, the ink wasn't dry on the budget when we found out that school safety officers won't be moved from the NYPD to the Board of Ed. That's $300m staying in the NYPD budget and to be honest wasn't a real cut anyway.
