The song list has a fair amount of variety which is a good and bad thing.
Veronica found the singing to have a much more difficult grading scale than Rock Band.
I've only tried the main guitar part and it is exactly as what one would expect with the exception that I think the guitar is actually more forgiving than the GH III.
Haven't tried the music creator.
The character customizer is as complete as I've seen in a game of this type with regards to the ability to create faces/heads/
