Chili.

I misunderstood her instructions - I used 2 28-oz cans of tomato sauce rather than 2 14-oz cans, so it was basically soup, rather than a thick chili/stew.

I just dumped out the majority of the sauce, added a can of diced tomatoes and threw in some peppers. Next time I need to make sure I am follwing the recipe correctly. :)
