I expect teachers and parents *to a person* want schools to be open - if it's safe.

In retrospect, our entire response should have been about controlling the virus enough to open schools, and we did nothing close to what was needed.

I think it's more difficult in a large school than a daycare center. We have public schools with thousands of kids which I'm sure is way more -- (edited)

Daycares also have one point of entry (and yes, smaller population). Getting one POE for a school, where everyone needs to be checked for fever?

well daycare centers are open daily, but some proposals I've seen floated by schools districts including nyc is stagger to reduce limit
