Let's discuss this Kanye bid seriously for a moment from a logistical perspective

- A couple of states have already passed the filing deadline
- Florida deadline is next week
- Many/most states have filing deadlines next month (requiring a certain number of signatures, generally, to get on the ballot)
Kanye mentions the possibility of suing to get on the ballot because of COVID. However, the pandemic has been in full swing in the US since March and is not a new thing. Kanye is just now deciding to get on the ballot, so it seems that undermines any case he would make that he needs relief due to the pandemic. (Lawyers feel free to correct me).

Does he need to get on the ballots? He could do some damage as a write-in, if he's serious. -- nm

He won't get on most ballots - if any. If he sues, I'm sure SCOTUS will get back to him sometime next year. -- nm
