Limiting customer count seems to work at the Trader Joe's that I use as my primary grocery store

By limiting the amount of people in the store, it seemingly makes it a minimum effort for people to avoid each other and they seem to make that minimum effort such as waiting for a person to clear a corner or the end of aisle before proceeding to that area.
Probably just me but every time I'm out in a store, it feels like that I'm playing a real life video game and trying to maintain a minimum distance from all the other players
