I tightened up the recording a bit, removed four "do-overs". Turns out my Creative Cloud license through work gives me access to Adobe Audition, which is highly recommended for editing podcasts. It even has a tool for eliminating dead air, although the default setting is altogether too enthusiastic ("I'm DavidMumpowerI'mKimHollis") Still was able to trim out a lot of dead air. The graphic came from a free trial at Shutterstock and the audio came from YouTube's public domain library. Kim recommended Anchor.fm for publishing, which was *GREAT!* It even publishes to Spotify!
I think if we do this regularly, I'll be able to get these turned around a lot faster.
