FWIW I know a couple who went through something like and that and they survived...er. but..I guess that I said survived

I was going to say that in the last few years I met up with the girl who was the one before Veronica and as we tried catch up on uh, I guess literally decades
She told me the story about how her husband made some bad financial choices and put them and their son on the brink of bankruptcy and they made it through that.
But when I think about it, she did say that they weren't the same after that. In mind my for the better and as a family, they've seemingly been on to bigger and better since I reconnected but she did tell me that she made a choice and there was kind of before and after that.
