contemporary but warm and cozy. i think you're on the right path color-wise -- chocolates, beiges, burgundies. you can also go warm wheaty yellow.

maybe punches of black for the contemporary feel. ooh, maybe beige and white with punches of black! avoid most greens and blues -- those are cool colors and while they can feel relaxing they don't necessarily feel "warm."
i'm totally shopping for shower curtains for you right now.
