i mostly agree with you, although it depends on the parents, and the age of the kids to an extent.

I know that when we go to other people's houses, sometimes the knife drawer or bleach or whatever is too easy to get to or something like that. There is a degree of kidproofing that is almost impossible to do if you don't have a kid there every day testing what you forgot to move out of reach.
That said, I'm with you. I'd probably need to have been at your house to know I was comfortable with it, but yeah.
