Would the gender of the person cooking your food affect how you thought of the food?

I just watched the Niki Nakayama episode of the Netflix series Chef's Table.

I'm in some combination of shock, disappointment and pissed in hearing how she's been treated.

The restaurant n/naka has been on on my radar for years due to the glowing reviews as well as for the kaiseki style. Though I've also kind of been waiting for a really good sales quarter and resulting bonus or a lottery win so I could kind of, sort of justify the price. Kaiseki isn't cheap anywhere but n/naka is using crazy quality ingredients which results in eye watering prices.

I could probably justify it now with my reduced expenses but there's the whole indoor eating thing 8(
