I don't know why he got famous but at this point, Stranger Things is probably his biggest credit.

He was a working actor by the time he landed Memphis Belle and Full Metal Jack. He's part of that 80s generation but I don't know if he gets to be lumped in with the Brat Pack. Is Vision Quest even of the same caliber of St. Elmo's Fire or About Last Night, which really aren't all that big themselves?
