Yes, but that's true of the existing police force as well.

Another interesting aspect is the number of them that will turn out not to be employees of the federal government, but mercenaries for hire.
I mean, that's how the US Government runs things in other countries - makes sense that it would run that gambit on itself, if so tasked.
