In response to "Plumber checked obvious things, but since the landlord won't let him access the unit (tenant not home), there's nothing more he can do." by Tim

We had two condos side by side where this happened. Had 4 plumbers, nothing found. We finally had a leak detection company come out. Twice.

This what/how they finally found.

Upon arrival, an inspection of unit 795 found water pooling along shared wall of 797. Water did not seem to change after plumber addressed previous hot water heater blowoff valve in unit 795 (plumber cut drain line and placed bucket underneath). A pressure test of domestic hot and cold water supply lines in unit 795 found it solid at city pressure. An acoustical test of service and supply lines found no discernible signs of a leak. Using a micro camera, located drip leak on cold water supply line under kitchen sink cabinet in unit 797. Marked leaking pipe.
