we try to divert patients to video if they are appropriate for it (and this patient is definitely appropriate for video) but if they want in person then we have to.
I can call her and discuss but you never know as some people like to complain. Her message already is very telling.
Realistically I think the risk to me is small because I wear pretty much full PPE for every encounter but the staff doesn't. And overall it just doesn't makes sense. The goal of seeing a physician is prevention... yet you risk exposure coming in.
I think these days if something can be done remotely then it should. Exposure risk should be limited and face to face interaction only reserved for when you truly need it. I mean come on, 4 million cases and increasing at like 2 million per month.
