My main takeaway from the feedback here is we put Meg to sleep.

But the advice is appreciated. We’ve improved a couple things from the pilot episodes I feel.

1) At first it was a pure round table where everyone had a say, and it was awkward. There was one throw to me where I had no strong opinion one way or another (calll me Your Neutralness) and it came off poorly on me and the entire podcast. Then there was just a lot of repeating and agreement. I was hoping for a more casual conversation as we’ve all known each other for like 20 years and the conversations should reflect that.

2) we worked out a system as to when someone wants to speak next or add something (we’re in Mop’s Zoom but not using video) and I think it worked MUCH better in this episode.

3) Pure industry news is super dry (especially since there’s very little hard data unlike box office).

4) We could be funnier (the Keanu bit was hilarious) because all of us are varying degrees of hilarious individually.

5) I hate my voice, I talk too fast and there were a few parts that sound like I’m in a wind tunnel because of my air conditioner. I have a new mic on the way though, and I’m surprised how okay my crappy headset sounds.
