So I know this is gonna sound like Miles Dyson but there's many things about that particular build that doesn't lead to Judgement Day

Well, at least not without several, several more steps ;-)
From a fanboy / nerd stand point: That's based on a Gundam suit. Suit as in requiring a human operator If they achieve what has been shown in the animation, it's like a more realistic (like that applies?) version of Pacific Rim Jaegers as the Gundam suit only needs one pilot
They've worked insanely hard to get it to a point to take that step. We're gonna need major breakthroughs in nearly everything. Better power, more efficient actuators, lighter materials. Course the same could've been said about the Wright Flyer but still....
