I'm buying N a few pairs of sneakers - one for school and one for everywhere else. I like these and he'll love the color, but I want them to be like regular sneakers with padding and support.

I think that's what these are, but I'm not sure. The Converse I've owned have been the thin fabric unsupportive ones.
