A woman who is getting along in years relative to her profession feels threatened by the younger model, flirts with taking a step to keep her status in her career but decides that she can't quite debase herself that much so she pays the price, and while feeling vulnerable meets a man she feels a connection to and instantly safe with to the point that she's willing to risk and essentially end a secure over-a-year-long relationship to see if it will lead anywhere, and then is spurned by the new guy.

That's a lot of plot for a relatively short movie.
