- Obama made 8 gay rights promises during the campaign.
- One was to repeal DOMA, though that has since been removed from change.gov.
- Last week, the Obama admin made a *defense* of DOMA in court, using the good old incest, etc arguments.
- Gays are getting pissed at Obama.
- Big gay Democratic fundraiser not going so well, incidentally
- Obama says 'hey, let us give benefits to federal gay employees. That wasn't one of the eight things and really is not that overly important, but should shut up the uppity gays'.
- Uppity gays say nice try, bub, but we're not buying. Give us something your promised, not a bunch of bullshit.

(noting that benefits for same-sex partners of federal benefits is a good thing, mind you. )
