In response to "Wait. That Virgin Galactic Concorde-like plane they want to build will only hold 9-19 people? So, a rich person plane -- (link)" by decline

In the early days of Concorde, British Airways (then called BOAC) surveyed the passengers to see how the felt about the high ticket price...

Almost all of them had no idea what the ticket cost was because "the office" or their assistant booked the seat.

When asked what they *thought* the ticket price was, most passengers guessed much, much higher that the actual price.

So they airline jacked up the price, and turned a profit for the first time.
