Heh, and I would go almost the opposite. HP preloads their laptops with so much crap, it drives me crazy. I've had great success with Dells.

I think we can all agree Acer is crap. To be honest, I love my IBM laptop (even though it's just a loaner). I have a employee purchase price (allowed for friends and family too) discount code for IBM laptops right now, but it's for the Canada site. If you want, though, I could send you the code and you could look around. If you see a good deal, we could maybe figure something out. Drop me a line at subversive at gmail if you want.
