Since we were apparently reminiscing about Coyote Ugly, here is my original review of it.

Once "Coyote Ugly" leaves the bar, the film sinks faster than a drunk upon hearing it's closing time. While being promoted as the "Hottest Film of the Summer," Piper Perabo, Maria Bello, Bridget Moynahan, Izabella Miko, and Tyra Banks are cheated out of what could have been a great and unusual addition to their resumes.
"Coyote Ugly" is about a small town girl trying to make it in the big town. Hardly anything new, however, this film was *supposed* to show you how hardcore the bar she eventually lands a job in. Except, instead the movie decides to focus more on her love life and her relationship with her father. Yeah, for once it's a bad idea to add a plot.
Inside the bar, things heat up with bar dances and bar fights set to the tune of a really excellent soundtrack. Except, more than one of the songs repeat themselves -- two of them were used three times! Then add in the sudden ridiculous apperance by country artist LeAnn Rhimes. Ugh.
In the end, "Coyote Ugly" would have been a great movie if it weren't for all of the exceptions. While I think I'm supposed to rate a movie for what it *is* instead of what it *should* be, I still believe the movie misses the mark pretty badly.
Coyote Ugly's grade: C+
