It's a fairly consistent narrative among right wing groups that they tolerate all sorts of corruption and graft

From causes they support that they'd never tolerate a hundredth of from "the other side". Often with the guise of "well everyone's doing it" . See: Trump foundation vs Clinton Foundation.
One might even call it virtue signalling.
