I always warn new home buyers, it's rarely the mortgage that gets you but the little things that pile up

property tax
new windows, roof, landscaping etc
hoses, shovels, mowers, etc etc etc etc,
it all adds up and alot of people don;t factor it in when figuring out what mortgage payment they can afford.
