I would think a lot of people (myself included) don't equate the answer, or even the response, to an unjustified shooting to be the looting of a CVS.

It's definitely not a straight line from shooting -> looting.
I'm not saying there's not understanding of the rage, or that the systemic racism that has gone on does not justify a rising up and destroying capitalistic businesses in those neighborhoods, but the *dotted* line of shooting -> looting is gut wrenching in that it diverts attention and responses from the where the focus should be on the underlying issue(s).
(that's just my opinion.)
