In response to "there are 13,000 cops in Chicago... were all 13,000 in another part of town?" by colin

I understand it fine. I don't agree with it as a tactic or in its effectiveness. The answer to injustice is not anarchy. It distracts from the

message. The peaceful protest has been amazingly effective in generating a new understanding for the need for change. Cities are trying to find a new way forward. This simply reinforces the idea that the police are necessary. You can hear it immediately in the interviews on the streets and the mayor's press conference. You get change by winning hearts and minds. Even among republicans BLM is viewed favorably. This pushes people away. So yeah, I understand the idea. I understand the frustration that leads to it. It doesn't make it right, useful or ok. It will simply drive businesses out of the city and create a worse environment to create jobs.
