it's so hard to sort out local incidents.. i've been at some stuff and it still took days to figure out what really happened.

hard to take police at their word right now, for obvious reasons.
that is tough.. yeah, if someone is caught, they should be charged, but charges like inciting a riot or anything additional to "make an example" will not help anything. hopefully they charge appropriately, not in some way to make up for lack of consequences in the past.
i know you do. it seems kind of hopeless. we've had nothing met here, and it's not even crazy stuff (civilian review board, different handling of mental health calls, start funding health and education services). city responded by ignoring all demands and upping the police budget. what kind of message is that?
