"School starts in a week and we have no idea what we are doing with our 1st grade twins for elearning. I work remote and my schedule is full of meetings and projects all day. My husband is working 12 hour days outside the home. Sending them to a daycare or day camp isn’t an option for us. We do not have family anywhere close by. We can’t take leave of absences from work. How are other parents in our situation managing this? I feel like our kids are going to flunk because we can’t stand over their shoulders 5 hours a day. Did I mention they both have 504 plans"

- My kids have them. They provide accommodations for students in school. They are kinda like "mini IEP" as I understand it. It isn't "special ed" but - oblique Aug 10, 10:09 11

    - In IL we set up a meeting with the school to have the kids evaluated. It was a pretty standard process they go through. Since ours were getting it - oblique Aug 10, 10:38 4

        Yeah, that is odd. I'm always wary of schools deciding treatment for kids. On the flip side, we have been exceptionally happy with our Psychologist - oblique Aug 10, 11:04 2
