In response to ""I don’t understand two things:I don’t understand how they’re not still shooting that film and I don’t understand how hundreds of people aren’t dead." -- (link)" by Steven Soderbergh

One reason I tend to not enjoy big budget blockbusters is so many action scenes are not well shot from a holistic perspective.

For me it's really important that I constantly have a grasp of the big picture of an action scene, meaning at any instant I should be able to put everything together as if I was watching one wide uncut shot. It's not a conscious thought sort of thing, my brain just feels like something is off and takes me out of the scene and movie.

So many action sequences just look like random CGI vomit all over the screen to me. So movies like Fury Road and the Bourne movies are great, but so many of them just don't do it all that well.
