Hint: I invited some folks over for a pre-election hangout in the backyard (tomorrow is the special election for a set on the Portland City Council). I'm making a variety of appetizers including a few different types of stuffed peppers. The stuffing is the same for each one (cream cheese, Greek yogurt, diced figs, fresh basil, and fresh cilantro, plus some other seasonings) and some will be wrapped in bacon.

Peppers include: Jalapeno (from the garden), Hatch green chili, Habaneros, and -- for the truly daring -- a couple Scotch Bonnet peppers.

I had everything pretty much prepared to toss on the grill, and then my nose started itching.

(*whimper*)
