1% chance of an M7 in the next week in SoCal. But there's also a swarm up near me; around here, that activity is helpful for the fault.

Little slips over time ease the pressure off and hopefully stop a big slip from happening.
Of course, sometimes a little slip in the wrong direction will jog something loose and cause a disaster - so that's also a possibility.
