In response to "Just out of curiosity, how much does it cost to have the tree removed? We have 2 dead in our backyard and I'm contemplating the hit to my wallet -- nm" by oblique

We just had ours removed 2 weeks, but it was a huge water oak tree that was ~ 100 years old.

The tree went over the house, so big crane and lots of manual removal.

~$4000.
