There are certain positions that are vital to remain free from partisanship. Giving up those roles is the price of admission to the office.

It's bad enough that too many conservatives feel Ottawa institutions are tilted against them from the start. When these office-holders start showing themselves as closeted Liberals it only makes it harder to believe that the current occupants are keeping their noses clean partisanship-wise.
Supreme Court justices should retire and be retired. Former Bank of Canada bosses should go manage a bank or something.
