I always viewed it as sort of the minimum where there is some benefit. Helps with the droplets and I assume as it spreads it becomes less dense so

the viral load is less. Also, in the context of outdoors it gives more opportunity for it to dissipate. Indoors is just bad generally. It's going to be hard when the weather starts to turn cold.
