Perhaps in the long run it's for the best. National symbols are important but I feel like the US went a little overboard with them, making the flag, the founding fathers, the constitution, etc as holy symbols.
Keep in mind, this is an outsider playing advocate. I don't want people getting angry over my comment, and I'm very open to being told I'm wrong.
