I too have an unusual journey with the movie. It had a couple of major flaws for me for a while. Then one day I realized my complaints were arbitrary and I didn't have to hold onto them. So "You get an A."
Didja ever read Le Morte d'Arthur by Malory? I remember thinking it was a surprisingly cracking read before losing it twice in my 20s.
