One thing I appreciated about Baby Mama was Fey's positive portrayal of a busy career person. Pop culture usually portrays these people very badly.

As protagonists, busy career people usually get portrayed with one foreshadowing factor that dooms them from the beginning. Usually it's an unhappy SO.

Or, they are portrayed with deep emotional problems such as being constantly frazzled or with a drinking or drug problem.

As villains, career people are usually portrayed as greedy or evil.

On series, the activities of successful people usually result in someone's death. Buuut I suppose that says more about the shows I watch. :)

It's like these movies are for people who can't watch someone be successful without feeling bad about themselves, a common problem.

Tina Fey's character goes through the first half of the movie just rocking it at her job and we are refreshingly not asked to judge her for it.
