There’s a difference between BP and King so Shuri should be Queen and the tech goddess. M’Baku challenges to be BP in the movie and was vital to the outcome.

I think it would lend to some dramatic exploration of African politics when the wrong/different tribe attains power.

Add in why should every tech guru also be the warrior...it’s like Q being Bond as well. The comics might work but it’s too pay and easy.
