sued, they threaten bankruptcy. Their solution is to just shut the power of for a few days at a time when it's hot. My dad broke down and put in solar and a generator. They charge 3 times as much for electricity as the Southern CA utilities. Newsom wants to take them over, but it's creating a political battle.
