In response to "Poll: what would pay to have named after you? a street? a fire hydrant? a playground?" by zeitgeist

It seems we have opportunity to pay to have things named after us all the time.

We can donate to the local library or hospital or museum to have our name placed on a plaque. We can buy a stepping stone at Disneyland or a local park. I assume a number of us have made such an investment if only for charitable purposes. While I personally don’t have the vanity to want something named after me, I’d buy a stepping stone for a library or hospital if I had money to donate.
