Hi everyone, Mop the Asshole here, Geek-splaining stuff!
TV Everywhere is a standard agreed to by all the broadcasters where all the TV channels you find on broadcast and cable are available through voodoo streaming technology. It essentially means that if you have a cable package, you don't necessarily need a digital set top box to watch, say, NBC or TBS. You can watch it through that channel's corresponding streaming app with whatever OTT device happens to be compatible with the app.
It also means that there are a select few OTT boxes out there that will aggregate the TV Everywhere channels you have access to into a programming grid in such a way that you can "switch channels" from live program to live program just like you were watching "regular" TV, and even set programs to record with a DVR feature that this OTT box may have.
