All the canceled Andy Ritcher shows aside, in just the last couple of years they’ve aired and canceled countless sci-fi dramas that never quite reached their potential because... well, they were on Fox. Gifted, Almost Human, Minority Report, etc. This goes all the way back to Fox’s inception with shows like Briscoe County, Jr. They all showed a glimmer of potential and the sheen of a network that wouldn’t give them enough money to meet that potential. Every once in a while, something managed to click - X-Files, Fringe - and so manager to get a little taste of the money needed to put on a top notch production. But getting to click in the first place was always the challenge.
