I just finished it myself and had a question (spoilers)

When Jeff and Pam go public by successfully predicting a number of items which will occur in the next year, one of the items listed is that Chief Justice Warren will retire and be replaced by Abe Fortas.
Fortas was nominated by never confirmed, and in fact ended up leaving the court a year later (he was already an Associate Justice).
Is this meant to imply there is another replayer out there who changed Jeff and Pam's base history so that it doesn't conform to our own?
