I wouldn't be surprised if he is insisting on being given *everything*. Not the doctor's ideas, his. He isn't a brave man, I guarantee he is scared -- (edited)

I hope some fragment of his mind is thinking that 200,000 of his citizens went through this, and much worse, and didn't make it.
