This season is insane, in the sense that it's devolved into a relationship show except it's asking to think of a romance with the devil as just another wacky relationship barrier. You can't ask us to be awed at the majesty of celestial beings and then put normal human psychology on top of them. Same goes for all the bullshit going on with Maze and her "mom".
