It's probably more along the lines of allowing religious objection in every area of life. So officials could refuse to perform marriages, certify them

Businesses could refuse service. Banks could refuse joint accounts. Insurers could refuse spousal coverage. Employers could fire them. Etc, etc, etc.
So LGBTQ+ individuals could still marry *in some jurisdictions* but would never know where their marriage would be accepted. And would face hurdles in every aspect of life.
If Barrett had her way, they'd all be locked up.
