The far right is hanging on to that single stat, probably because it happens to make their chosen heroes look not so bad.

You're right to point out the trajectories, which are far more relevant.
If Trump had done his job back in February, we could have been South Korea. They never needed lockdowns. I like to say, once you need lockdowns, you've already failed.
